In the fourth quarter of 2024, the Middle East's carpooling and ridesharing market on iOS saw notable activity. Here's a breakdown of the performance trends for the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride maintained steady weekly downloads, beginning at around 30K and peaking at approximately 43.6K by the end of December. Meanwhile, weekly active users fluctuated, starting from about 851K and reaching a high of 960K mid-December.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads, beginning at roughly 24.9K and reaching nearly 40K by the quarter's end. Active users showed a slight upward trend, starting at 526K and maintaining a stable count around 511K to 554K throughout the quarter.

Careem – rides, food & more saw weekly downloads fluctuate, with a notable decrease mid-quarter, starting at 23.7K and ending at 24.7K. Active users also experienced a decline, starting at 869K and dropping to around 804K by the end of December.

Jeeny - Book Affordable Rides witnessed a decrease in weekly downloads mid-quarter, starting at 17.4K, with a slight recovery to 16.3K by the end of the year. Active users began at 416K and saw a decline, stabilizing around 311K.

inDrive. Save on city rides had a consistent pattern in weekly downloads, starting at 9.3K and maintaining around 8.6K towards the end of December. Active users showed a steady increase, starting from 47K and peaking at 56K mid-quarter.
